As a counselor at New Horizons Recovery Centers, Marleigh strives to create a safe therapeutic space where clients can feel empowered to work through challenging life experiences while gaining the skills they need to heal and thrive in their everyday lives.
Marleigh enjoys taking an eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing a variety of different therapy styles to meet her client’s individual needs. Including techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Her primary focus is to maintain an empathetic, warm, and non-judgmental approach as the pieces of each client’s story are shared over time. Marleigh believes that the therapeutic relationship itself is the foundation of effective therapy and enjoys assisting her clients in gaining a deeper understanding of their past, present, and future.
